While all eyes are on France as the 2024 Paris Olympic Games are underway, celebrities are enjoying the festivities.
The summer games officially kicked off Friday with the opening ceremony, which counted stars such as John Legend, Chrissy Teigen and Ariana Grande in attendance.
Though it was a rainy affair in the City of Lights, the athletes' excitement couldn't be dimmed as they celebrated on boats that cruised down the Seine River as part of a nearly 100-boat flotilla. Not everyone was on board for the inclement weather, however.
"Absolutely beautiful opening ceremonies," Teigen said in an Instagram Story posted as the ceremony was underway. "I will say, they should have been speed boats. We got to, what? Bolivia? before we left."
Teigen's hair was visibly wet, and she appeared to be inside a car. Legend, her husband, chimed in off-camera: "We got to China, actually; that was the last one."

The Olympic Games will last 16 days, and there will be many opportunities for celebrities to weigh in on the action from home and at the various sporting events.
Here are some of the highlights from the star power brought to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Céline Dion dazzles on the Eiffel Tower
Days after Céline Dion sparked speculation about a possible opening ceremony performance with her arrival in the Paris, the French Canadian singer closed out the event Friday night with a majestic comeback to live performing.
Singing from the Eiffel Tower with a piano accompaniment, Dion delivered a sweeping rendition of Édith Piaf's "L’Hymne à l’amour" that ended with a dazzling light show on the iconic monument.
This marked Dion's first public performance in around four years, since before she canceled her Courage World Tour following COVID-19 and health-related delays. In late 2022, she revealed in an emotional Instagram video that she had been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes her to experience muscle spasms.

Lady Gaga performs in French during opening ceremony
Mother Monster showed off her vocal chops en français during the opening ceremony, performing Zizi Jeanmaire's "Mon Truc En Plumes."
Dressed in House of Dior, Lady Gaga danced and played the piano along the Seine in a French-inspired set.
"Although I am not a French artist, I have always felt a very special connection with French people and singing French music," Gaga posted on X after the performance. "I wanted nothing more than to create a performance that would warm the heart of France, celebrate French art and music, and on such a momentous occasion remind everyone of one of the most magical cities on earth — Paris."
Rosalía and Jeremy Allen White celebrate on the eve of the opening ceremony
"Motomami" songstress Rosalía and "The Bear" star Jeremy Allen White, who have been linked together since late last year, were both in attendance at a prelude to the 2024 Olympics event on the eve of the Opening Ceremony.
The Spanish singer, who was a co-chair alongside Charlize Theron, Serena Williams and actor Omar Sy, stunned at the Foundation Louis Vuitton museum and cultural center in a 2025 Christian Dior floor-length sheer lace gown. White also rocked up to the event in an all-black Louis Vuitton ensemble.
The duo, who have not publicly confirmed their relationship, showed their playful sides inside the event as White focused on winning a prize at a claw machine. In a video posted on Vogue Magazine's Instagram, Rosalía is seen watching White angle for one of the mini soccer and basketballs and celebrating his winnings.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend bring children Miles and Luna
Teigen and Legend made their Olympics appearance a family affair as they brought son Miles, 6, and daughter Luna, 8, to the opening ceremony.
However, it appears the Teigen-Legend brood didn't stick around for the hours-long event to conclude, as the rain forced them to find a getaway car.
After some back-and-forth in Teigen's Instagram Story, they revealed they'd made it as far as the Chinese delegation's boat before they made their escape.
